Well we made it through another Edinburgh Hogmanay and eventually got to bed about 5am!
Lots of lovely food here at home to start us of with Luke and Linda followed by a swift taxi ride to town before hitting the West End of Princes Street just before 11.
Very busy from there as we managed to scrum down and get through the crowds to the Scott Monument stage for about 11:40.
Some Scottish music from someone I don’t know followed by the fantastic Moshie’s Bagel after the bells.
The fireworks were pretty spectacular followed by a laser show (no x-wings were shot down…)
We then headed down to Eileen’s for a bit of a boogy and a few more drinkies and walked past some action at the Luna club on Picardy Place. Ended up walking all the way since taxis were about as rare as hobby horse sh*te… Buses were all full too 🙁
Lift back from Paul and Sandie (eternally grateful) at 4:30 followed by collapsing into bed about 5am.
Felt a bit squiffy this morning so stayed in bed until early afternoon (thanks Lorraine for tidying up in the meantime)
No New Year’s resulotion that I’m ready to publish yet…
